Bulk & cut to size filter media.
What do you guys use, if you take the 'bulk' approach?
I have 3 Aquaclear 70s with some blue cut to size [i think Marineland] mechanical. It's ok but i would be open to other suggestions.
I also use Seachem Matrix for bio media. I LOVE it!
I don't use Activated Carbon in my tanks. If i did i would use the Seachem Matrix Carbon.
I'm also planning on removing some sponges and getting some Seachem Purigen for a carbon alternative/water polisher.

i use what you do the sechem matrix (love it) with just a catch between for big particals. i've used filterfloss, plastic pot scrubbers from the dollar store, also used similar material ive found at the fabric store. .. i just put some seachem matrix in in a nylon stocking and throw that in the hobs between that open mesh sponge and call it good. in the end i just stuck with nylon pantihose i get from my work for free for people to try on shoes and just rinse it now and then.,
i've also grown house plants behind my tank and let the root system go in to the back of the hobs...
