I am not a snake keeper but reading the link you gave I would not house an adult in a 75g. I would want at least a 180g. The reason is to have a water area large enough for the snake to go into and a branch large enough for the snake to climb. With this large enough of a snake I would build the enclosure out of plywood and get some sheet glass or acrylic.

I just cant see this in a 75g:

I would be tempted to keep your tall 45 and move the ball python in there. You could do a pretty cool branch in there for it to climb then.

Some just are not climbers. Seems like a slightly bigger tank for her would be good.

They do get quite large but they do stop growing.if you think they don't stop growing then you need to be a wee more educated on the subject before you burn your $.and no they are cheaper than fish what it cost for 3 weeks of fish food is the same as 2 rats wich is a month and a week of food.also I feed pre killed rats that are frozen when I buy them you can also use frozen rabbit (all must be thawed in warm water). It also takes along time for Rtb to grow fully.nobody ever keeps them long enough to let them grow.just think when a 8ft snake deffecates its like a st bernard turd and half gannon of pee the worst kind SNAKE pee.I'm not saying anything about anyone here just to others wanting reptiles its a bigger commitment than fish cheaper but requires more attention don't be scared to buy them though just plz refrain from purchasing snakes that grow to 25ft stick with the smaller species.

I would probably start with a corn snake myself as a starter. I have a friend who has one and very nice little snake.

I'm not saying by the time they're 12 years old they're gonna be 36ft long, humans never stop growing either whether it be our nails, hair, or ears.

LOL yosef I've been feeding my corn frozen mice forever, and I'm vegan! Prices on frozen mice at petsmart jumped from 6$ to 12$ in a month. This guy'll cost me about 12$ a month in food, same as my poopy stinky goldfish. Cept they've got 50 gallons of water to trash on the water bill

St.Bernard turds n a half gallon of urine if its anything like rabbit piss (PURE ammonia) than it doesn't have anything on a 90 year old ladies diabetes ridden feet or the fungus in the fat folds of a 400lb women.

LMAO! I do remember rubbin down my first fat fold... vomit

A friend of mine had a red tail boa, kept it in a 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 wood box with plexi windows that he made.... he took it out allot, and always fed it in the bathtub... I guess its not as bad as like a burmese python or anything... those get super BIG!

I have always wanted to keep snakes, but only kept a peuban milk snake, king snake and the biggest was the ball python.... My fav. was the peuban milk snake by far... he was awesome..... but its the smell that got to me afterwhile.... and I think feeding my fish is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper, I dont know how much flakes and pellets you dump in your tanks, but a 15.00 bag of pellets last me several months. plus, I always fed live to my snakes... Smile
