Was the rat live? Only reason I ask is, when I was at the pet store the employee was saying how bad it is to feed live rats. Cause they can hurt the snake?!? Is that true. I am guessing she ment by scratches or whatever.

That was a frozen hopper. I defrost them and heat them up in boiling water. The pinkies were live.

That can't smell to nice lol. But way cool pet no doubt.

Doesn't smell at all. I take the frozen rat (in a bag) put it under running hot water for about 10 minutes, pop it out of the bag, put the snake and the rat in a box, cover the box...10 minutes later, one fat snake emerges!

ah I see for some reason I was thinking a pot and some water. Cool.

My old python wouldnt eat anything but live.... Was really cool though, like discovery channel!
