I remember in the 70s someone had goldfish in the heels of their platform shoes. I don't recall who it was.

Re: Newest fish fashion trend
I sure would hate to be a goldfish if I was in one of these.

Re: Newest fish fashion trend
#1 Why is the RSPC or whatever worried about water quality or oxygen... they are goldfish ffs!!!
#2 I would venture to bet anyone with one of those bags would keep it super clean as a poopy bag with brownish water wouldnt be very "cool"
I think its a neat Idea but Betta would be better option as they dont require oxygen in the water to be very high at all. How much?

Hmm.. Dunno. Think about it though.. The amount of water sloshing everytime you take a step, that would make any fish disoriented, even if it were for just a little bit. I'd say it's more stress on the fish than anything else.
Just like those silly Keychains that contain live turtles. Blech.

Re: Newest fish fashion trend
This is a prime example of how things happen...this "fashion trend" was first shown at a graduate fashion show in England in the spring of 2013...the fashion designer sent her own goldfish down the runway in a "fishbag". The designer drew a lot of attention and most of it was not positive.
Fast forward to the 2014 Brit Awards and a band/group bringing a "fishbag" to the show. What exactly do you think they are seeking...if not attention. Some things although they don't make sense to us...make sense to those that choose to exploit them. Now...will this make it acceptable to carry around fish in a bag?
As for the RSPCA...at least they took a stand and spoke out or attempted to. Treating any living thing as a disposable item is like they said, not acceptable. Even if it is a lowly goldfish.
Chiisai I accept your statements and position and don't judge but would add...Poopy fish water...well...I've seen poopy tanks so I'm sure people would end up caring less what their bags looked like and at some point poopy bags would become the "in thing". Kids are funny today...what you and I see as unacceptable is actually what they seek out. Its the way of the world today. I do what you do and what you don't want me to do.

I hope most people will understand the stupidity of this, it is unacceptable and extremely inhumane ! I don't care what kind of creature it is it still should be treated with some respect.
