greetings from Kent
This is sweet.. I am a member of Aquarium Advice, and I have to say it is much nicer to correspond with other folks close to home. I will be asking many questions regarding freshwater tanks and fish. I started keeping fish about one year ago; I had a modest 5 gallon tank that I of course over stocked and lets just say there were quite a few casualties in those days. The guy in china town did not seem to mind selling me 14 fish to fit in my 5 gallon tank!
Anyway, about over a year later, and a few tanks under my belt, I am a lot more comfortable keeping tanks. Today I have a 16 gallon tank and a 55 gallon planted community tank. There is still so much to learn and as with most things in my life it is better to not rely solely on my own "bright" ideas. I look forward to collaborating with all of you; best wishes to you and your fish!

Welcome to the site. I am almost twenty years into this hobby and I am still learning. Looking forward to getting to know you. And we will probably try to talk yoy into a 100+ gallon tank.

Dont worry we will not talk you into "a" large tank. We will talk you into multiple large tanks!

For those just joining us, this is part of an on going joke that South American/Central American cichlid keepers are compensating for something because we keep large fish.
I think another term that fits better is called "Big Truck Syndrome"
Yep the ongoing , in the end its all in good fun!
