New 75 Gallon African Cichlid Tank
Well my boyfriend finally got his 75 gallon tank. Set it up, cycled it, and then transfered over the fish. The last 2 weeks we have obtained more fish from Icer and Me. Thank you guys. Awesome fish.

Hope you guys like the pictures. Hopefully there aren't too many. It's hard to tell in the full tank view but there are a total of 21 fish in the tank now. All happy. Minor aggression, just protecting their dug nests (even though there aren't any females, silly boys lol) Thank you to Me and Icer for the fish. They are great!

wow looks great... think theirs one female in there though just gotta keep an eye on here that's your Venustus (Giraffe) and 21 not to many you could easily go another 10 cichilds do better when crowded... less aggression....
keep the picts coming as they get bigger and color more but looks like you two are off to a superb start

wow another 10?! We knew they did better with crowding but thought 21 was close to crowding it. Which one do you believe is female? He found out after he bought the Venustus that it got to be about 10" he was a little unhappy. But actually he hasn't grown much in the last few months he's had him.

Oh I just re-read what you wrote, you're saying that the Venustus IS the female

... when i had mine it got to about 6-7" the males get bigger but looks like a female right now.. males heads will turn blue there cool i had 3 females at one point and i nice male but he passed
and you will have to come see my tanks there lots of fish in each one so i think 30 isnt a bad number for that size tank but the IMO though

Don't worry Shorty, I did the same thing. I had to google IMO to find the answer. Hard for a 98 year old geezer to keep up on all the lingo and acronyms nowadays. thank god for Google.
