Hide out for your wet pets
i created a cave for some of my fish to hide in and it was super cheap compared to buying one in a store
i bought a package of slate from home depot for 8 dollars that i took out back and broke up into a few smaller pieces
sat down for about 10 minutes and stacked them how i liked then took it apart and with the 6 dollar tube of fish tank safe sillicone i put it back together
...let it sit for the 24 hour cure time and you gotta bitchen cave and for less than you can buy in a store

i also was able to pick up a sheet of laminate for countertops with a granite pattern that was almost the perfect size for the back of my tank so i used it for a background for only 12 dollars

wow.. I've been looking for some nice flat rocks to build up some good hiding places.. think I will check out the local granite counter top shop for broken scraps now.

by the way if your going to "do it yourself" make sure the sealant you get is aquarium safe obviously the stuff i used is made by DAP it says on the blue tube household adhesive sealant 100% silicone then under says Aquarium safe i picked it up for 6 dollars and used half the tube
