Dragon the Magic Puff-er
Got this beautiful gem a couple weeks ago, previous owner named her Daphnid, which I didn't mind keeping, but my boyfriend and his son insisted that we called him/her Dragon (the Magic Puff-er) . . . so, I guess we're renaming him/her Dragon. Heh. OR... Daphnid the Dragon... Magic Puffer. I don't know. lol.
Looks like he's a Target Puffer (Monotrete Turgidus, or a Monotrete Cochinchinensis //aka// Tetraodon Turgidus, or Tetraodon Cochinchinensis)
Been feeding her ghost shrimp, snails, and frozen krill, and she's been pretty good at eating the krill
I tried taking a video of him/her, eating, but it was too difficult =P Maybe some other time. But here's a video of him/her, at least
... I think from this point on, I will address Dragon, as a boy. Makes things easier for me. Hah!

Very neat little puffer. I have been wanting one for a while just not sure the type. I dont want a monster like Hank, and dont want a big Fahaka. Been looking at Congo, Mekong, Hairy, which are all just lurkers that sit until feeding and it sound like your lucky if you get one that swims around. Also would be housed in a 40B for life...
How is your puffer for activity level?

He/she appears to be wearing a headband...too cute really. Gosh they move slow in the tank. I'm so used to my silly cichlids which dart everywhere....never staying still. Nice Dragon!

Thanks, Donna! He's quite the fish to watch. Not as active as Hank, but still pretty neat!
Re: Dragon the Magic Puff-er
Our Fahaka aka Puffy McPufferson loves the snails we find outside. Its really funny to watch a puffer hunt. If they are opening down he will shoot jets of water at them to get them flipped over.
