So the cute little guy who was starting to get over grown teeth. I added salt to his water and started him into shock. After converting his tank over to planted and adding snails. So cutting his teeth myself soon wasn't an option until after a few weeks being okay. A 50% water change took him out of the shock. But the lazy little guy refused to munch at the snails to help his teeth. So I did some research and found krill are good for puffers. So after 2 weeks of not touching snails my Ken's fish food order came in. Tonight I put 1 whole superba krill into his tank. To say that he loved it is an UNDER STATEMENT!! He reminded me of a king salmon hitting the herring on a line. I could hear his teeth munching away at the exoskeleton and see the bites gone from the krill! I HIGHLY reccomend krill to anyone with a puffer. And of course especially Ken's fish food! I will get a video tomorrow when I feed to link on here and show how much he likes them and try to upload it soon!!

I want one! I tried getting one the other day and was informed that not only he would tear my other fish up, but he is technically a brackish water fish...I was not aware, but I'm also new to the fish world. This picture makes me want one more!

Puffers are fun. I got my fience a Fahaka for Christmas and he has been a hoot. He has a passion for snails and Krill. Its really funny to watch him hunt down and attack snails.

Since he's been eating the krill he's realized his teeth work for crunchy food. So there were 16 smaller than pencil eraser snails in the tank, only 4 are still moving! Lol and there is a bigger one, bigger than him that can't move much because the puffer is in constant attack mode now. Either the snail is burying itself into the sand or the puffer is hitting it hard enough it pushes it into the sand. The bottom of the tank was smooth and now it looks like the surface of the moon from all the divets in it lol Smile His teeth are looking WAAAY better too!
