SOS Help needed Moving Cichlids in exchange for ..
Sorry for the double post, but this is also African Cichlid related, and an emergency.
So I will try and keep this brief. My brother has been taking care of my fish while I am in Japan, and just dropped a bomb on me, telling me he has to be out of his place in 3 days, which may be 2 days now!
Bassetman has agreed to take most if not all of my fish and tanks (Mostly acrylic tanks, ie not deathly heavy), but we need a couple strong people to help move the tanks from Chehalis to Wala Wala, as my bro and bassetman both have injuries. To the right people, I can offer Mpimbwe Frontosa or Christmas Fulu. Also may be able to offer a tank or two, but it has to be a glass one, because Bassetman needs all the acrylic to take over. So what we are talking about moving is seven 4 foot acrylics, 2 six footers, but one is likely just going to another home in chehalis. then there is 1 4 foot 75 gallon (actually very light, and a bunch of random smaller tanks. Buckets with fish and water will also need to be moved. Some of the fish are 8+ inches so we're talking quite a few buckets.
A summary.
Bassetman has a trailer,
We need two strong dudes, or some very strong girls
they need to be free sometime in the next couple of days
and if they want fish or tanks, it can be arranged. I don't really
have money to offer since I am in Japan, and My brother is being
evicted because he lacks $500 so I think it goes without saying he can't
help.
I can also arrange for future fry if you prefer. Some of these fish are very rare Victorian Cichlids
and Blue Zaire Frontosa. If nothing else you will get to see some amazing fish few will ever lay eyes on
if you help, and I will be forever grateful, and believe me if you like rad cichlids, I am a good person to have
on your side ; )
Thanks

Good luck, I hope you find enough help. If I had a healthier back I would help in a heart beat, it sounds like a busy, chaotic, but fun adventure. I just mapquested the entire route and 700 miles and 12 hours of sitting in a car will not work with my back the way it is.
Good luck again.
Good luck again.

Thanks Anthraxx, and Madness
I am still working on the situation. Anthrax if you are in Tacoma maybe I can get you picked up, if you could get to Olympia it would be a definite I think. I need to talk to my bro late tonight (Morning in Washington), so I will know more soon.
Thanks again,
Todd

Re: SOS Help needed Moving Cichlids in exchange for ..
Just an update, my brother has gotten a bit of an extension, and my father is allowing him to move the fish and himself into his place which actually is where my fish were before I moved to Japan. I am not thrilled about it, and still want to see the fish go to bassetman. The fact that none of the fish have been moved yet also has me a bit worried. They may very well still be going to bassetmans very soon, but at the very least I may need someone to help ensure they get safely to my fathers. It is a bit less travel than the original, and really other than supervision, you would only have to help move a couple 6 foot acrylics. Anyone? I think we could work out something for gas, and time.

Where did your Christmas Fulu's end up?
I have been wanting some of these but cant' afford the usual prices I see online. None of my LFS are interested in ordering them for me.
Does the person you gave these too have any fry left?

Sorry to hear this ME! You have amazing fish! Loved the fulu's I got from you. Hopefully things get sorted out! Wish I could help but wouldn't be able to get out of work. I wish you all the best in all this and hope Japan is going well for you!
