I really like the "Hagaboomarum 'Male'" Almost like a flowerhorn pattern but a really unique color. Pretty cool. Where did you get it?

Re: My Fish Family (UPDATED 06-06-11)
My Hogi is wild caught, and Matt at 'A Place For Pets' aka: (Bassman) Introduced me to them a couple months ago. They received a grab bag of assorted Cichlids with their order. And these wonderful fish were in it. I got first dibs on choice, so obviously I have the more awesome looking pair.
They are wonderful to look at, right now they are with a pair of Convicts. I need to get them into a larger tank with more interaction.
I believe there is one pair left, as of yesterday.

Re: My Fish Family (UPDATED 06-06-11)
Well I moved my Hoga's into a 55 with my barred red 'Red Devil' female. She did not like that very well. She is now 8" and my male Hoga is almost 7". They went at it for a brief period, with, to my surprise, the Red Devil coming out as the victor. She then spent the next hour relentlessly going after both the male and female Hoga. So, I removed the Devil and put her in my 135 with the rest. And they love her and she loves them.
Now the Hoga's are sharing the 55 with a breeding pair of black Convicts. Ya, the Cons are not allowed to even move, or else the male tortures them. Hopefully the move to the 55 will get them to spawn.
Here are some updated pics.

Thought you could tell difference between red devil and midas by eye color?? or is that a myth?? I know they are both awesome fish, and are so close together they are always confused.

They look like they are wanting, and will definitely let you know when they do. Oh, and will definitely be selling them.
Bassman I suppose I could donate a couple to you, since you are the one to get me excited about them.
But I don't think that I will ever get tired of them. Now that they are in a bigger tank, they are less aggressive towards me and my movements around the tank. I even think that he comes over to say HI when I am up watching them.

My Texas/Red Texas and Texas/Red Devil hybrids
Well here are a couple pics of my Tex/Red Tex and Tex/Red Devil. I looks like they are starting to get some red on them. But still to small to tell. The TRD is about 1 1/2" and the TRT is just over an inch.
Texas/Red Texas bought from Alotadollars.

Just picked up this Flowerhorn. That is all it was labeled as. They are trying to find out what type of Flowerhorn. I think it may even be a Trimac. What do you think? Any Flowerhorn specialists out there?

Re: My Fish Family (UPDATED 06-06-11)
Yesterday was like Christmas in my house. I put in an order for 20 fish and received 25. Very nice and healthy. New to my family are:
6 new Festae from Rattle(one of them is a beautiful red already), 6 new Loisellei from fishaddict, 3 Ornatums from APFP. Included in what I got yesterday was: 4 Rhytisma, 5 Beani, 5 Islantum, 5 Robertsoni, 4 Nourisatti, a 4-5" female Loisellei, and a 3-4" female Grammode.
So now I have the Festae, Loisellei, Beani, Islantum, Ornatum and the Robertsoni, all in the same grow out tank.

OH ya, most definitely. He lets NOTHING go in his tank. We will see here, soon he will be going into a 210 gal and sharing it with a few others. Not sure who he is going to share it with, but we will see. I may stick my 11" male Red Devil and his mate in with him, along with a 10" Texas. Maybe I'll stick my 5" Dovi in with him too. I don't know, we'll see.

Just picked up 2 Australoheros sp. Red Ceibal and 2 Archocentrus sajica. I have always wanted the Sajica, they have such cool coloring.
Also picked up Rock and Angelina. A breeding pair of wild caught Dovi. Very beautiful pair.
Pictures soon.

Re: My Fish Family (UPDATED 06-06-11)
Here we are. Man I just went through all of my pics from the beginning. WOW, have they grown. The big orange Red Devil you see in a lot of the pics, started off as a yellow Devil and is now 11" and awesome looking, he is one of the pics below. Talk about change. The little Carpintis is now a 6" beautiful Carpintis, and I have some new faces to add to the picture family.

Re: My Fish Family (UPDATED 06-06-11)
lots of practice. lol Im working on mastering my camera so that I can take even better pics. I really enjoy taking pictures. Its not only relaxing to watch the fish, but also very relaxing to take photos of them. I have to take the pics from a distance, cause I swear all my fish come crowd the picture once they see me with a camera. I have taken a few videos of them all, but cant get the videos to upload into my 20year old computer. Mainly cause my disc drive is broke and I cant load up the software to allow my comp to recognize my camera. But I am working on that.

Re: My Fish Family (UPDATED 06-06-11)
you could always upgrade that old tower?... btw you can always download drivers for software programs. any company worth a darn "Should" have their software available online for download. take a look and perhaps call your software company and ask.
PS: windows 7 recognizes any camera without any installs

Re: My Fish Family (UPDATED 06-06-11)
This Zonatum I got from Jeff @ Big Fish Aquatics, he ordered it for me through SeaGrest farms. But I believe they got it from Gage @ cichlidconnection.com. Gage is where I usually order my unusual fish from. Ive gotten my female Loisellei, female Grammode, Nurasatti, Rhytisma, Robertsoni, Nicarguensis, Sieboldii, all from him. He has 2 different types of Zonatums, found in different lakes. Each one looks a bit different. I am going to place another order with him soon too, and am going to order some more Zonatum.
Im looking at his list now and he has Hartwegi available from 1.5" @$3 to 9" @$70.
His prices are great and his shipping is reasonable.

Dude your gonna need like 3000 gallons worth of aquariums to house all of those as adults..... very nice collection. In the future if you are planning on getting rid of any female loisselei, female salvini, or any istlanum (btw where are they from), please let me know.
