Here is a quick video of the tank with some of my juvenile grow-outs..... please keep the sound off, as both my wife and dog make some guest narrations

Re: my 125 updated
Looking good!
The bifasciatum are coloring up nice. You have a pretty interesting mix. I like how you also have some the smaller/medium types of cichlids in the mix with the larger, like the firemouth and salvini. I just got a firemouth for my 210g. I did not want to have all the fish be big bruisers.

Re: my 125 updated
Thanks you two! I usually have pretty interesting mixes as I get bored easily and am limited on the number of tanks my wife will let me keep.....haha.
I have always had this problem of buying multiple species and keeping the ones with the personalities I like the best. In the long run, I will only keep a couple of these fish in this tank when they grow up a bit. Right now, that severum is the top dog (but also very easy going) which keeps the tank peaceful. I am guessing by summertime, a few of these fish will be up for sale or trade or free.

I can relate to this. I have BIG FISH syndrome, so I'll grow them up as long as i possibly can then re home them due to size or aggression. On a whim i purchased a 2 inch Columbian Pike (I love pike cichlids). Will need to find a home in the near future im sure....

thanks addicted! Yes, they are a fun mix. they swim up to glass as soon as anyone enters the room, which makes them popular with my friends too.

Addicted,
I know. The festae really colored up after its epic battle with the firemouth.
Madness,
the red isletas should look good, as they are from your fish, and I love them....
and
I need to thank dmd123 for the good coloring on the bifas. He picked them out, and then was kind enough to relocate them to me!
Thanks you two for the compliments.

Re: my 125 updated
I kept the largest dominant male but I gave up the one I considered the most colorful. That one looks really good. Mine is showing lots of yellow in the tail but I just wish the reds would pop more. I just need to be patient, these bifa will look pretty good when mature.

Re: my 125 updated
Those Bifas are ridiculous for being young! well done sir. I would certainly have to say con/hrp hybrid. Looks to have the HRP finnage and normal con body. Either way super colorful. That isletas is looking good, hope he is as interactive with you as he was me.

He is! he is always the first to come to the glass when I enter the room, and he is always photo bombing all of the pictures I try to take of the other fish. That's kinda why I settled on the name "Bull" for him, because he loves using his size to bull over the other fish to get as close to me as he possibly can. And he does it every time without even having to open his mouth

Re: my 125 updated
haha! perfect. I will more than likely get another for those reasons if I can acquire one at a decent size from madness's stock.
He grew incredibly fast too, I want to say 1"-1.5" a month easy. Then again I feed really well and do a crazy amount of WC's.

Re: my 125 updated
It's been a couple of months, and my fish in the 125 have grown from the "grow-outs" stage, to the teenage stage.....but they are all still getting along (as much as that is possible). here is a quick video update for everyone who I got these fish from ;-)

Re: my 125 updated
it's been almost three months since my last update on this tank..... i had to wait to make sure I took complete care of the poor water quality issue the tank faced last month. the fish are all doing well and im back at my regular wc schedule. the smallest three in the video will be moving out of this tank soon. i just put them in here so that they could fade in peace. I hope you enjoy it.

Re: my 125 updated
From the previous video, i should mention that the only fish still in this tank are the red isletas, the midas (which is now orange with the black on his forehead, and the red devil (the creamy orange colored one w/o the hump)....

Re: my 125 updated
Looking good. Still cant believe how the midas looks compared to mine. Same batch of fish and I kept the dominant male. Mine still rocks the juvie coloration. I will say the little guy is very mild. Yours looked pretty easy going compared to some of the other fish.
