My wild caught convicts get a new home!( UPDATE!!!!)
I upgraded their old 40 gallon tank to a 48"x15"x20".....55g
I also added the new national geographic gravel ( I mixed the two tan colors and bought the smallest size they offered)
The cons are still nervous and hiding but I'm sure they will be out by the end of the weekend. I will update again when they come on out.

Wild caught fish are always exciting to have. We'll look for those guys to be out and about before too long and showing us their true nature (spawn spawn spawn).

I really like the sand choice lloyd378. National geographic gravel? Never heard of it. Is it something special, or a new product?lloyd378 wrote:I upgraded their old 40 gallon tank to a 48"x15"x20".....55g

I bought the gravel at petsmart..... Something like $20 for a 25lb bag. I bought two bags.... I'm going to put a couple of other fish to entice them out. Once they're out and about, I'll remove the extra fish
Didn't realize that my video was cropped, lol. It always shows up full screen on my phone. I'll take hme with my camera next time

Here they are with their temporary roommates (5 female platinum calico juvenile cons).
They are all out now, and this weekend I'll move the females out to keep the male interested in the female to insure a pure strain
