How big are they?
First guess without knowing size is altifrons due to the missing midlateral spot.

At that size, their tail pattern may or may not have solidified into the adult pattern. We'll know for sure as they get larger, but most likely altifrons given the lack of a large midlateral spot and where you got them. Altifrons are the most common species sold as the near mythical surinamensis.

They do look like Altifron but at that small size and with out their markings as dwarf pike stated it's hard to identify them now. Just to let you know If they are Altifron they can reach 12" and are more temperamental of the Geo species.
