Future shrimp home
I got myself a nano today...and once again spent my entire babysitting check on fish stuff hehe. I would like to put shrimp and a couple endlers in it. Not sure if I like the blue... any way to change that?

Is it a colored acrylic back? You could put in a small or thin 3D background inside the tank on the back wall to cover it or even only cover a portion of it...just another option.

The whole blue thing comes out, that's the filter. It would have to be exposed to water whatever I put in.cichlid-gal wrote:Is it a colored acrylic back? Is your filter/sponge a hamburg matten filter? If it is I don't think you would want to cover it with what I was suggesting .. like the 3D background as you want good flow through the filter. Maybe just some taller plants or bushier plants to hide a bit more of the blue. Looks like a great setup for the shrimps.

The shrimp should really stand out on that black gravel. Need to make sure they will not get sucked up in a filter though.

Mesh (tulle works) or a sponge-type pre-filter (aquaclear filter foam works).

Very cool little shrimp tank! I like the blue, and besides once its planted and has shrimp in it you wont even notice the back.

Thanks!
Shameless plug!
I still have shrimp available. Folks aren't too crazy about driving down to the wrong end of the sound. Their loss, I guess.
