OnTheROAD future episodes

Hey all you fishbox fanatics. I will be visiting 3 different box members this weekend, so that means 3 more OnTheROAD videos.     

Looking forward to seeing something different.

Friday I will be visiting Morgan, AKA MorganEA
Saturday morning hangin with Tom, AKA Bassetman
Saturday afternoon/evening chillin with Donna, AKA cichlid-gal

I've got some fish for Tom..... I'll swing by Thursday afternoon to drop them off. They will live to travel with you. I already got them their very own license plate bingo cards!

aww man im jealous now, basset has always been big within our little group, and donna is just a blast to chat fish with. be careful tho shes very knowledgeable and isnt afraid to tell you , just curious if you plan to do some episodes on our best LFS? seems like another great venue to go visit. anyways GL with your trip over the mountains, if your close enough dont forget to snag some awesome plecos from barbies shop out that way she was a great help to me early on in my fishkeeping history.

How do I get a hold of her?

And I have already talked with APFP and they have given me an ok tp do it as well.

this is her store, i havent seen her on the forums in quite awhile so id just call the store. sry if its not exactly close, i just assume the other side of the mts. is just all one big city

That is about 120 miles north of here.

So about an hour and a half.... No big deal for aquatic madness!!!!

No kidding. Family in Ellensburg reported 106 the last couple days. Scouting camping spots for this coming weekend is forcasting cooler weather this weekend with rain on saturday.

I hope you're headed over 90. US-2 could be a nightmare because of the fires and I believe it's closed right now between Cole's Corner and Leavenworth.

Yep, going over 90. Shouldnt be too bad. The car will definitely have A/C

I'm detailing my tanks and vacuuming the pond today.  Just kidding...might give things a wipe down though...just to get the E-town dust off them.  Smoke is horrible here...hope it clears by Saturday but I've seen this happen and last for weeks.  Pray for the firefighters everyone...things are not good out there for them.

So dry on the east side right now. One good lightning storm could cause havoc.....or one careless smoker.

Shawn just left on his way to Donna's  house. Should be up to you in two and a half hours or so.

Shawn , it was nice to meet you and your son. Good to talk fish for awhile.

I'm so excited to finally see your full collection! And I'm equally excited to see the surprise!

The rio mags look great. Shawn brought about 20-30 micro Melanurus and a nice zonatus. All doing well. Think Shawn had a good time. He smiled a lot. 

Cant wait to see the pictures and video!

Shawn's visit was quite pleasant. If you are on the fence about this go ahead you will not be sorry.

Shawn and his son just left.  And yes, we had a really nice visit.  It is always fun to talk fish with other people that enjoy the hobby as much as you do.

Wow they are going to be up late tonight. Long drive back.

Got home about 10:30, I wanted to turn around and go back once I hit the pass area. The rain was in sane.  

Pictures and video are loaded, now its time to edit.  

650 miles today and well worth it.  I got to meet some more wonderful fish keepers and 3 very good people.  

Tom you have some very beautiful and rare species, and I hope that you are able to get back to where you were before.

Donna and John, thank you for a wonderful time and dinner.  Your tanks are stunning and you too have some beautiful rare species.  

I have to warn everyone, these videos will be long, and Donna's could get very long, but well worth it.

I will post a few pictures to show you all why.

Ya these tanks are both full of amazing fish. donnas stuff at first glance appears common fare, but a little more study and its just like WTF are those!!! man must resist urge to setup more tanks! although the GF is wanting a tank again....

We will see if Shawn can remember the names to everything.

Oh you didnt offend, just wanted to point out that both Donna and Tom have some species that most of us have never heard of.

Surprise visit to a local hobbyist coming next Monday.
