$1 per gallon sale.... at Petsmart

I saw this in an email I was sent from Petsmart. Yes Petsmart, NOT Petco

It is limited in time from Feb 21-23 and only on a select few tanks. Makes me think they realized that Petco was getting some tank business they wanted.

bought 3 40 breeders at the last petco sale. but... i might need more more more!

Petco was pretty cool about price matching, so I picked up a 40B for the heck of it from Petco.
Pet Smart's brand is Great Choice, Petco used to sale their Aqueon's with the $ per gallon deal but it is now selling the Tetra brand. I like the aqueon's brand better (on the 40B, heavier and seem more quality built)

i was wondering that when i went to petco at the last sale... i thought i remembered they used to sell aqueon, but i noticed the switch to tetra as well. the tanks are also slightly different dimensions from the old ones- i have a piece of acrylic that fit the top of my old aquaeon 10, but it's about 1/8 inch too big for the new tetra one.

keep in mind these are petco, so i don't have any idea about 'grreat choice' brand... sounds fishy to me
