Excellent resource for determining processed food quality
This is a fairly comprehensive list and comparison of fish foods although there are one or two products missing (Nutrafin spiralina flakes being one).

Re: Excellent resource for determining processed food quality
While I enjoy looking at that page as I've found it in the past. One of the things that I think it's really lacking in it's grading scale is how do fish like it, and how water stable/messy is it? Those two things are also very important in the overall judgement of a fish food.
The best example I can give is imagine a pizza that is made incorrectly. Instead of making a crust and putting on the sauce, cheese etc. You just mixed all the ingredients in a bowl then put it into the oven. Even though they are the exact same ingredients how you deliver it plays a HUGE part in how messy it is. Just like in our aquariums, messy foods lead to more waste. As a fish digesting a food is much more beneficial to the aquarium than rotting food.
Likewise on the pizza example. Lets say this pizza is made perfectly. It has a crust, sauce, etc. Easy to eat. however the crust is made out of kelp leaves. The cheese is made of super proteins so it doesn't use milk etc. All the other toppings are very good for you like brussel sprouts, kale, etc. Even though this pizza is not messy, it doesn't mean it'll be eaten by everyone either.
However there is a lot of information on that website that is useful and can help people make an educated decision. However I'd be very leery of saying oh, this food is 4 stars, it's clearly better than this 2 star food. For instance hikari algae wafers have been used since the beginning of time, a staple for many breeders of even zebra plecos etc. And yet it's 2 stars. By the metric in which they're measuring. I would say in general the best bet is to figure out what works best for your fish.

Where's the Kensfish.com fish food?
Though there a few varieties he carries that they won't touch (betta pellets mainly), my fish gorge themselves when I feed. That's community fish, bottom feeders, and cichlids that all go nuts for it. And at a price you can't beat anywhere... The wafers kind of suck too though, and would fall into the category of "rotting food" that Cory was talking about. Though mixing spirulina into the bag of pellets/wafers gets rid of that. I would actually suggest doing that to any fish food you get though, as it's a super food even for us humans.

Ive used that site before but a word of cation, some fish foods he really has no clue where the fish meal comes from and "assumes" it a high quality based on the brand and reputation. Really? Never assume....

I think one of the problems is that it isn't specific to any breed. Whereas some fish do fine with high grain gluten foods, others get Malawi bloat. Some will do well with high fish protein levels and few feedings, others need green sources and more feeding. However, as an average, I think it is a good site. I believe the rating scale is more inclined toward South American cichlids. That may be part of what biases their rating system.
