Greeting from Minnesota
Hey everyone! My name is Mike and I've been keeping fish for almost 30 years. I've kept many types of fish over the years and now strictly keep South and Central American Cichlids. I have a few tanks up and running now and am very passionate about the hobby. It's great to be here.
Re: Greeting from Minnesota
Hey Mrmann (Mike) glad to see you here. Hopefully you lend us some of your knowledge as well as pictures of your stock.
The huge fad going on right now is planted tanks and shrimp So it is nice to see other real fish enthusiasts joining up.

Re: Greeting from Minnesota
NO, I have NO interest in shrimp or planted tanks, so I rarely look on here any more, or comment. So I need to recruit some people that actually have Cichlids. so that I can stay involved some where.Nick_87 wrote:Welcome. We would love to see your tanks and fish list as well as pics!

A year ago I would post a bunch of pictures and the thread conversation would go on for ever amongst at least 12 people. Now I post pictures and I get a hand full of nice pics and no conversation. So it is time to fix that.
I understand that Poke and Cory have brought in a lot of their people, so its time for me to go recruiting. Regardless of local.

Welcome, Mike! I'm new as well.
Do you have any Apistos? I'm thinking I might get some later on down the road, or maybe just German Blue Rams.

LOL, you newbs should know that there are a few regulars on here that constantly go back and forth about which type of fish is the best. Though I may jab all of you want to be big fish keepers, its all in fun.

Re: Greeting from Minnesota
Welcome Mike. If you are friends with Madness and you raise SA and CA cichlids I can imagine that your "few" tanks are either HUGE tanks or there are a few more that "few". Madness has done tours of his tanks...and WOW...I would love to see yours also.mrmann wrote:Hey everyone! My name is Mike and I've been keeping fish for almost 30 years. I have a few smaller to mid size tanks and one mid size bigger tank (a 155G tank)...I'd love to get into some CA's but its hard to make the room. I just set up the 155G and moved a Vic and Hap group in it. So not sure if I'll ever get to the CA's but that still doesn't stop me from looking at them and thinking about it. So share share share please.
