Coatzacoalco spawn
My smaller pair of Coatz surprised me with a spawn this morning. Not a huge one but it is their first.
Here are the pics.

Re: Coatzacoalco spawn
all the eggs have hatched. Mommy watches them like a hawk. they are smaller than Jaguar wigglers. due to the angle the pics are not great , when they escape the nest i will get a better shot..

Re: Coatzacoalco spawn
do you have any pictures comparing the zonatus that you got from me and the coatz? They look very similar in googled images, but I'd love to see an example from someone I know.

Ya I will post them up when I get home. They are quite different fish temperament wise. They are differently marked, the zonatus shows more vertical bars. And less intense color.

Re: Coatzacoalco spawn
Looking good bassetman. Those Coatz and Zo are very similar in look, and the Gutz look a lot like them also. I have all 3 in 1 tank and I am doing my best to try and tell which is which

Re: Coatzacoalco spawn
The zonatus have few spots on the forehead and the stripe on the guts is a bit different. That is how I tell them apart.
