15L build, 10g shrimp grow out, 55g Walstad

Gonna see if I can trade the stupid thing at the swap today. I don't think the heater made the propellor go out, but no water movement and the tank cooking plus having the glasslid covering almost every slot, I'm surprised more fish aren't dead. It's under a year warranty ATLEAST, I don't know if I can return it to Petco though since the hoses are already precut

lars on just call up the company and get them to send you a replacement. also if that wont work (due to time and all that) you could buy one from petco and then return your busted one a day later or something. one way or the other the manufacterer will end up paying for it, which in my mind they need to be doing anyways. ive had good luck dealing with them before just talk up their products and just ask for their help, 9times outta 10 ill get more then i even needed . GL to ya

PS: next time u use a heater rated for a much larger tank barely even turn the thing on. even with my 125 i have my 300w jager heater set to like 65-69 and it keeps it a nice 72-75. one thing jager is good at is over doing things.

Got my new canister from Petco and was lucky enough to grab a 75watt jäger heater from Ron at the swap! Haven't plugged it in yet but I don't think you can kill these things.

Got a neat tiny filter with spraybar for the 10g shrimp tank, which I wish I would be referring to as my 6g bookshelf tank but someone snagged it before me. ); Also got a big java fern that got left in Lamental Jesters car after our fish adventure to midway with poke sephiroth.

And my best buy of the day, I call him 'long dong silver', got him at B&I which is NOT just a food market. Poor fella had been there for 4-5 months, other fish would jump into his tank at night since they didn't have the self confidence to be seen around him during the day. ;D

MikeB: OH CRAP. You're on! I'd definitely love to try a moss wall out of christmas moss, and whatever other mosses you'd like to offer! Crypteds, I only have one, and it seems to be doing pretty well in my 10 gallon, although, I'm not too sure exactly how to properly care for them, if you give me some tips on crypts, I'd definitely like to try those out as well

lmao looks like we all never sleep.. if their is extra room in a car for a meet up id love to join or even fallow behind and ya i got a starter bunch of both plants for ya.. crypts are easy to grow the ones i have well.. id be amazed if anyone could kill them.. id grown them free floating, low light hi light, co2, no co2, iron heavy.. only 2 ways i havent done that i can think of and one im trying soon is emersed other is the potting type soil capped with gravel.. walstad method? i will say one thing.. not sure which one of the unid'ed ones it is but one of them when it bloomed at the surface smells not so good to be nice about it.. if you guys head north or dont mind a car buddy and im not mowing the grass call my cell ........i know several of the owners in seattle and can always help people find the hidden liams place.. i hear he got a new shipment of mogwai in

I have a few spare RenaCal heaters if you need one or two for a spare. I believe they are 100W and 150W, but don't quote me on that. I'll give you one for free, didn't know you were in a bind with heaters.

Alright. Finally a recent picture of the tank! Plants are growing nicely, the melon swords have doubled in size. My new willow Hydros/hygros whatevers from gizmo added a lot of green and much needed coverage!

My new angel, shotgun. Just his head is .5" wide. Got him from SEAF in North Everett, we put him in a bigger bag at Cory's shop but when we laid the bag down he had to lay sideways, after .5 miles we felt bad for him and let him ride shotgun in the front console.

Thanks to an extremely generous serving of plant clippings from Lamental jester my tank is looking GREEN. The angel finally decided to eat today, hasn't since Wednesday! His personality is starting to come out, picked up a pearl gourami who thinks its an AMAZING idea to try and poke the angel with his tennors when hes trying to eat, bein a little brat!

Got the 15 filled up with the neons and shrimp. Good god If I never had to catch these shrimp again it would be to soon. The 10g underneath is gonna be for shrimp. It's gonna be a narrow fit to put a light up top. Need to get a small filter for it too. Oh and shrimp.

And on another note my SECOND magnum 350 has gone kamikaze again and killed itself. Gonna return it tomorrow and get a HOB.

Singlebright you can get a beam works cheaper but without the blue LEDs
