Close to 200 fry, the tough part is getting them past a 1/4 inch. once they get that big or a couple weeks old they are pretty tough.

Re: More BCWP calvus fry
nice... i have to say, i am impress... its not very easy to breed calvus... i tried before, i had successfully spawned some fry but 60% of them didn't made it and after a while i lost all of them. >_>
congrats by the way... calvus still one of my favorite...^_^

Fry are growing and getting quite active, eating like little pigs.

What did you do with all of them? How dark did they get? Interested in starting a colony of Calvus and the Black Congos Look real nice. Just moved and am starting all over. Nothing in the Portland/Vancouver area.

I know this is an older post, but I thought you( Bassetman) only did the sa/ca cichlids .... Do you still do the African cichlids too?

Good question.... this was from January and there has been a lot of changes by Bassetman since then.
Calvus are pretty cool however.

I do believe that he is still raising those amazing Calvas. Best thing to do Shipclnr is p.m. Bassetman, you may get a response much quicker.

Re: More BCWP calvus fry
Anyone heard from bassetman lately? I sent him a pm yesterday about possibly getting some clavus fry if he still has some. I know this is an almost year old post and long shot though. I wasn't expecting a msg right away, just wondering if anyone keeps in touch with him.
