what two cichlids are combined to produce the red texas cichlid
I have seen a lot of fish being advertised as red texas, but what is the actual blood lines of a true red texas? Here are two examples being sold as red texas, though they look nothing like the beauty that madness has.
the first one almost has a pearsei body

the second one looks like they crossed a red devil and a green texas

I know that hybrids aren't popular on this site, but I am purely asking for informational purposes(as I couldn't get a definitive answer on MFK)......

Honestly, I am not sure. Are they a cross between a Red Devil and a Texas? Possibly. Mine is. Some cross with a blood parrot and try and breed the ugly mouth and forehead shape out of the fish. If I can ever get a successful spawn, I am going to take the nicest looking and reddest female and spawn her with a carpintis to get larger spangling, and take another female and spawn her to a bright orange male RD. Hopefully I can get this project going sometime soon.

That first CL post comes from this hybrid idiot in Olympia. ( he is not an idiot because he does hybrids) He is an idiot because he tries to scam people of their items(fish and equipment) and then sells again to make money. (I guess this doesnt make him an idiot either. lol) I personally dont like the way he is. His stuff is far superior to everyone and his fish are the greatest. He wanted my red texas but when I wouldnt just about give it away, he stopped contacting me, and then I get a text saying, "dude I changed my mind, your Texas looks like ass, I decided mine looks better." Now I see that ugly thing for sale. He has tried to get several things from me for free. And he acts like he has never contacted me, I swear he doesnt even remember people he has tried to scam. Give me a break. Some people.

Another CL flipper. There was one on the peninsula that did the same thing.
