My saulosi just keep breeding. Letting things happen naturally and I got 7 on this last batch. The parents are getting better as I have only had 1 or 2 survive on the previous batches.

My Nimbochromis Polystigma. Not prego, just eats like a pig. Interesting fish that has been known to play dead on the bottom to lure little fish closer for a snack, but otherwise it is not aggressive at all. Might show some nice color when full size.

The polystigma looks like it ate the rest of the saulosi fry. Mine was a big eater too.

Definitely keep him in a different tank from those fry. They remind me of Rock Cod fishing in the San Juan Islands. It was one of those impulse purchases at Kevin's store. I always see something new in there.

Yeah, mine was kind of an impulse buy as well. He outgrew my tank so I had to find him a new home. I also had a female at one time that would do the playing dead behavior. The first time I saw it, I actually thought she was dead and went to scoop her out with the net. It scared me when she took off and swam away.
