We got any shooters
I don't know about you guys but I like shooting almost as much as fish.
I shoot many different kinds of rifles and shotguns, what do you shoot?
P.S. if you got a gun to trade for fish stuff talk to me.

I'm with you, my love of guns is right there next to fish.. I have several from .22 to my hunting rifle .270wsm.. And now have got bitten by the AR bug.. I just finished my second build..
My next project will be a 1000 yard gun.. Not sure if I want a standard .308 or jump up to the .338 Lapau yet.. Not to mention this gun will. Oat me between 2-4 thousand to build with optics..

How do the ar's do for target shooting are they as accurate as a bolt action target rifle? I have several hand guns and some 22lr plinkers and a few target / hunting rifles

I love AR's, they're cheap to shoot and yes, pretty accurate too.. Not as cheap as a .22 but way better than my 270.. Not the cheapest I can find but you can buy 300 rounds with a ammo box at Cabela's for $120 after tax.. I can't say for sure if they're as good as a bolt gun as I'm running iron sights and a red dot on the AR and scopes on my bolt guns. But I will soon be getting a scope for my AR to see how good it really is.

Re: We got any shooters
When I lived in Dutch Hbr Alaska I had a just a few. Off the top of my head lets start with.
2ea Colt AR-15s (1 shorty CAR) (one std rife) 1ea M1 Garand 30-06 1ea M1A 308 1ea M1 Carbine all mine cond Springfields 1ea Weatherby .270varmint 1ea mdl 94 30-30 from the 60s 1ea JC Higgins mdl 50 30-06 with a FN action chorme barrel. And a couple of 12 ga pump shotguns oh and a Remington 5mm rimfire late 60s early 70s.
Pistol wise, 1ea Desert Eagle 357 made in Israel 1ea Beretta 9mm 1ea Tarus 9mm 1ea Colt 45 1911 match cup 1ea Browning Buck mark .22
1ea Ruger .22 "silenced" and 1ea S&W 357 revolver
I think thats about it??
Out of all those I still have 1 sawed off shotgun, the Buckmark .22 the JC Higgins 30-06 and the Remington 5mm rimfire hard to find ammo for it was running around 75 a box for 50 I have heard they started making it again wicked round!
I shoot the .22 on my property the others at the range which is not often.
Do I still kick myself in the arse for getting rid of all of the ones I did OH HELL YES!!

You bought a desert eagle and went with the 357. Just out of curiosity why not go for the .50?

Re: We got any shooters
I shoot alot and went to nationals woth my AR-15 and finished in the top 26% of all shooters (adults, military, and juniors) and top 24% when sompared to just military thats out to 600 yards iron sights and I was 14... gotten better since then but haven't had the time to compete I am a master hunter and shoot just about every type of gun there is and can out shoot 99% of the people at the range. I also reload ammo and always have extra brass so if you are looking to buy cleaned and sized 9, 45, 233, or almost any other type just hit me up I would love to help and if anybody wants advise or just a person to go shooting with I would be glad too

oh and on the subject of AR's at 600 yards I can keep 30 rounds inside a dinner platen with my irons pretty easily so it depeneds on the AR but MUCH more so it depends on the shooter

Because I like my hand to stay attached to my wrist That and the ammo was quite a bit cheaper. Actually the gun was a cool gun but it really did not shoot that well. Just to big and cumbersome.

Plus one on that. A guy that knows how to shoot can easily out do a guy with a nicer gun but doesn't know how to really shoot well.

I agree, I spend like 6-7 hundred on my 1st one I bought.. And almost 2 grand on my second.. Lol. But I love my new one much better because I built it from the ground up..
I still need to get it to the range and test it out. I'd like to go to Ft Lewis and stretch it out to 600 to see how it does at long distance. I haven't done that since I did my M16 quals for the military..
