New from Tacoma
Just signed up! Looking forward to meeting all the locals.
I have been back into the aquarium hobby now for about 10 months. This was after a 20+ year break (Thats right Im old - turn 42 this year!). I was not sure if I was going to really enjoy the hobby again so I purchased my first tank used on C-List. It was a 65g (36x18x25) fully set up with light, filter, etc. I had raised cichlids in the past and had wanted either a Red devil or Midas and knew the 65g was very borderline to raise such a fish but I was not sure if I was going to really enjoy the hobby as much as I did when I was younger.
It only took about 2 months and I was shopping for a larger tank. Yep the hobby was as much fun as I remembered. So I shopped around and found the perfect tank for my needs a 120g (60x18x27). I sold the 65g back on C-list for what I paid for it and then put all my efforts into the new 120g.
My current occupants: a single male Midas, 4 Red Hook Silver Dollars, 1 Unidentified Silver Dollar, 1 Pleco / L001 Pterygoplichthys joselimaianus
My current equipment: Cascade 1500 Canisters x2, Hydor ETH 300wt in line heaters x2 ,Tetratec AP150 air pump x1
Thats my story!

Re: New from Tacoma
No one ever stays away!!!!! I myself tried to quit/cut back on tanks..... had about 5 or so 55+gallon tanks in the house, was breeding frontosa (two variants), lost my job, decided I needed money so moved and sold all my tanks excetp 1 55galon tank.... well it was about a year or so, and I finally decided to set back up the 55gal...... It was all over with once fish were in it! lol
Now I am back to 4 or so 55+ gallon tanks in the house, and starting a little mini hatchery in the garage. Lol.
SO WELCOME BACK TO THE ADDICTION!
