New here, in Tacoma. :)
Hi everyone! I'm thrilled to have found this forum... kind of wish I had sooner! It's nice to see so many people from around here- I'm born and raised in Poulsbo, currently living in Tacoma.
I've kept fish for years (Mubuna's, mostly, with a couple community tropical tanks), but had taken a break till recently. Currently, we've got 2 20gallon Tall tanks, connected with a 'bridge' (4'' acrylic tubing) that the fish use to travel back and forth. We've got 2 HOB aqua clear 50's, and a 10 gallon sump system, with a homemade wet to dry filter. Since we've got decent filtration (and good water parameters) our tanks are pretty well stocked. We've got 10 neon tetras, 10 bloodfin tetras, 9 zebra danios (one jumped... ), 2 rainbow sharks, 2 albino bristle nose plecko, a mystery snail, and 3 juvenile angels. I REALLY want to add a couple German Blue Ram's, as I've never kept them, but I want to find a good breeder that has local fish, and not get sucked into the terribly unhealthy fish I'm seeing at the chain stores.
I've also got a 5gallon betta tank, which I'm about ready to upgrade to a 10 gallon. It's split, with a male and female crown tail.
... I think that's about it....
I'm looking forward to learning lots from you all!

Take a moment to add a signature with the tanks you have, fish you are raising. This will help us to get to know you better.

Welcome aboard turnnburn. Good to see someone else from the peninsula on here, esp. one that has a passion for mbuna. We're going to have to find you a bigger tank so I can stock you back up on them.

Re: New here, in Tacoma. :)
I wish I had the room for Mbuna tank again!!!!!! As it is, I've got 60 gallons of water in my apartment, 2 big dogs, a cat, and a lizard.... my apartment managers would freak out. So much for the 2 pet limit!
One of these days though, another 120g fully stocked Mbuna tank will happen.
I was in PetsMart today (getting crickets), and just horrified to see a whole bunch of Auratus in the 'mixed african' tank. Little hell raisers, just waiting for an unsuspecting person to bring them home......
