So i just set up an african tank again! Got some mbuna and 2 plecos. Can you believe that the local Petsmart carries Tropheus? Moliro and anothed variant...and they look awesome. They also had...get this..2 different kinds of Frontosa. I was impressed.

Plus Scott at bluegrass aquatics told me today they are opening a retail store locally. Im going to see about getting a job there!

there is no such yellow band moori cichlid.

could be ikola, kiriza, duboisi yellowband?

same for red banded cichlid.. (red saddle, bemba)

real tropheus hobbyist prefer real names and correct collection point. This is where the value drops.

However the price isn't that bad in Kentucky... it's near 30 each here at some LFS

I think the last tropheus is a moliro? maybe red rainbow... either way, If I was gonna grab some, I would grab duboisi and the last one (moliro, or red rainbow).... think those would look sweeeet together.... maybe toss in some frontosa.... especially at those prices!!! you will have a pretty sweet tang tank!

Well bemba and ikola arent moori either... I dont think they are labeling them correctly... I had moliro too. I was thinkin based on the picture they almost look like kimbwbe red rainbows..... but i dont know. either way, will look cool mixed with a big group of duboisi

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! good choice. . my first tropheus, biggest and most hardy too... love em... send some pictures when you get everything up.

I noticed last night Petcos here started carrying the Trophs, Fronts, and a few others. Not as much varity though.

I was at the Lakewood Petsmart and they have Flowerhorn and a tag up (no fish yet) for a Red Texas.

I like that price per ounce on the tag.
But I wish they would increase the minimum tank sizes. I can't imagine keeping tropheus in a 29 gallon tank.
