Sealing off your aquarium? Empty Sealing off your aquarium?

For those of you that have nerites/briggs or fish that like to jump how do you completely seal off your aquarium so that they can exit the aquarium? I realize there's glass lids and such but you can't cover up the entire top with the filters and heater. What do you do? What do you use? I imagine you'd have to use something that you can cut to go around the filters and heater in the back, maybe plastic craft mesh?

When you buy the glass tops they came with a plastic piece that goes on the back part of glass, just make cutouts of the proper sizes to acomidate your equipment.

I won't be buying any glass lids, I guess I'll try plastic canvas. It just seems like it'd be hard to cut things perfectly so that a pea size snail could get through.

Even with the glass lids and plastic parts cut around two small openings for the canister filter tubes, I found one of my nerites walking across the living room two different times. I don't know how it managed to find its way out of there twice.

Plastic canvas sounds like a good idea. Let us know how it works.
