Festae-Whats the big deal?

What is the big deal about Festae anyway? Only the females are pretty.

They are just a fad... right? (I know those are fightin' words)

Why do you like them?

(My personal disclaimer: This is an attempt at getting more people to respond on the forums, but I do really wonder what the big deal is because I would only own a female Festae, the males are ugly; come on take the bait...)

That one has some potential. I still dont see the appeal...

I told you they were a fad, no body else has even posted anything about them. Must mean the fad is over, what is the new must have fish?

I will agree, that there are a lot of ugly males out there. But my male is far from ugly. As for owning a pair. What makes them wanted is not only the colors but the rarity. Dovi and Umbee were that way for a while. Ornatums are there also. It is a fad, and I hope it does die down here soon, that way I will have one of the only pairs.

And soon I will be the proud owner of another soon to be, high demand fish. That is all I can say, cause I dont want to jinks it all.

Well madness you have a pretty good looking fish there but I noticed that even he is embarrassed to be a Festae. He wont even face camera in two of the pics and in the third he is hiding behind decor. ( I jest - its a beautiful fish! Remember I'm just trying to get some action going on the site )

Well one of my Argentea is getting aggressive with the other 2, and one of my Mac (black belt) has been hanging out with it. Hmmmmm but no tubes dropping yet.

Maybe they need some motivation. Have you sat and talked with them about how much you would appreciate it if they had babies so that Adonijah and I would stop making fun of you.

You could try it, it might work.

Why is it I put three Blackbelts in my tank this last week and thats when my argentia perked up. He's now dug a spot for himself with no lady to dance with
