hi mikey,
i see my points of debate have been erased,
is this a personality before Principal forum?
what are your thaughts
MIKEY
If that thread was not someone's post in the market, trying to sell their fish, arguments are great. They are not good when people are trying to sell something, that's all.
If there is a thread that is about the laws about letting fish into the wild and a huge debate comes about, that is fine. You have the absolute right to say your opinion on this forum but not exactly in the Market Place section. That is not for discussion, its just for getting rid of things and buying. I hope you'll understand.
Thanks,
Mikey

my beginning interest in the posting was for the threat of killing the fish if someone didn't buy or trade for it,
not about laws,
i believe this has become a personality /popularity deal rather than ,fish keeping or proper animal husbandry .
my entire family had interest in saving a fish from death do to the selfishness of its owner ,
we know where our hearts are at,
CORY
While I do not condone releasing any fish into the wild. Keep in mind you're performing an illegal act by offering up the sculpin for sale or barter.
Selling any recreationally caught fish is illegal in Washington state.

the thread does deserve debate ,not for one person to be the winner ,but to educate people ,
the people that are teachable are going to be the ones to teach others.

Re: what do you really think ,,,,out on a limb
I guess I missed are the drama.....darn! kidding. lol. I don't get why couldn't Kaosu sell the fish? We had a bunch of convicts that we didn't want anymore so they turned into fish food. Obviously releasing them into the wild is a death wish, they will not make it (and it is highly illegal even if they are native) So not wasting it and feeding it to another fish isn't really a big deal IMO anyways. Feeling bad for the fish though, i'm sure I'd try to give it another home first.

Come to a meeting or goto a LFS. You will find someone who would love to care for them. I would have been one to offer right now given I had tank space but I really don't.

and a google review that day from......
Tim - May 3, 2011
His hours listed are wrong. He opens and closes at will. He is CONSTANTLY spamming craigslist with ad's, which is how I found his store. His CL ad's usually say he's "getting out of the hobby". I've been in a few times and he usually gloats about getting fish that aren't legal, importing illegally, and MANY other questionable practices. The store itself was a concrete garage, with the outer walls lined in various sized (appeared to be mostly 40 or 55+) barren tanks, and a set of 4, probably 55's dividing the room. His stock was mostly a variety of Cichlids, some goldfish, Jack's, Oscars, & a few Arowana. The CL ad's say that he gets Sting rays as well, though in my few visits I didn't see any. From what I hear & have read from a number of fish keeping forums, from a number of other local fish store owners and gleaned from his interaction with my g/f while we were there, he's a d*ck.
ROCK AND ROLL!!!
wow allot of info here .
i have heard its good therapy to write out your feelings,,this person must have gotten the ultimate relief.
i have 2 really sweet little stingrays,,,,,
keep those fan letters and post cards coming ,

At least I made it on the BIGGEST ding dong list. It was my brother that bought from you, not I.

In regards of Size; everyone must start somewhere.
Quality, service and PRICE are among other important factors while in business. Besides the important fundamentals, all other details are...well, just that - details.

Re: what do you really think ,,,,out on a limb
beings that it was posted the same day of the wild fish release argument took place and the nature of some key insults it not hard to figure out who has the problem .
trust me guys ,this doesn't hurt.as time goes on there are more and more friendships gained ,which was totally unexpected ,the fish shop has become a type of fellowship and a meeting place to share stories .
im in a great location, the other shop owners here are all real close, every friday @ 7pm july and august theres a live bands and barb que next door,
today the parking lot is a swap meet fund raiser ,ive got allot of empty tanks these last few days.
once upon a time i had a 23 foot travel trailer with a 30 gallon tank and an albino oscar.
just another day at the shop

that's the point of getting customers come a long way... to see uncommon ones in person!
