Badis Badis

Anyone have any experience with these fish?

Does anyone know someone that successfully breeding these fish? Im interested in buying some if someone knows.

What kind is that?

if you do a google search for badis badis it will tell about the fish, dario dario is the Scarlet Badis. Either one is hard to find, especially females. Breeder generally dont export females for whatever reason. If I dont find some at the GSAS on Saturday I might end up calling Live Aquaria which sells some and seeing if they know if they have females that would be sold if I ordered some.

So is this something you might think of ordering in? I would definetly interested in getting some if you do.

A while ago I read a discussion on the gsas airstone about the badis and they were saying they are quite hard to breed neat looking fish I was thinking of getting two for my little tank but they are very aggressive midway pets has some right now

I've occassionally seen them at jones co in marysville by there air fill area

The problem with badis is actually find females, especially for the scarlet. People have theories why you cant find females, generally its only males that you find in pet stores.

Sidekicking- my experience so far and what ive read there actually a shy fish you especially need a dither fish to bring them out. I have my 2 with 6 dwarf neon rainbows.
