Albino Pleco is.....

Eating all my plants!! I have a piece of bogwood in there for him. He gets feed algae flakes/wafers and I've tried giving him zucchini and spinach to get him away from my plants.

Any suggestions? The other fish seem surprised and angry that their world is being destroyed.

Sorry, no suggestions, but mine have pretty much destroyed every plant that I didn't kill myself!

I don't know what to tell you. I currently have them in six different planted tanks - I raise them. They clean the algae off my plants, but don't eat them unless they are already dead/dying. Do you lightly cook the zucchini? I slice it and microwave it briefly. This helps it sink and seems to signal dead vs live to my plecos. Mine definitely prefer dead food. Is yours showing bristles yet?

I've only had it for a couple weeks now, and it is just barely getting bristles, still unsure of the sex.

I will try "killing" the zucchini first, I hope it makes a differance. Thanks!
