First SW tank: 55 gal Empty First SW tank: 55 gal

55 gal. Got it through a good deal through CL. Planning on upgrading once I get a hang of things. Currently housing..
- 2 Ocellaris Clownfish
- 1 Royal Gramma
- 1 baby Humu Picasso Triggerfish
- 1 six line wrasse
- 1 baby Snowflake Eel
- live rock (now quite sure exactly how much)

Using:
-Cascade Canister filter
-Red Sea Fish Pharm LTD Sea Prizm DLX Hang.Skimmer
-2 Power heads

My goal is to eventually getting a smaller tank and house Sea Horses once I feel up to speed.

Very new to this so please feel free to give some advice and suggestions!! Thanks Smile

Excited to add coral, but "patiently" waiting...
PH:7.8 [added PH buffer today]
Ammonia: 0.-0.25 [added another dose of Ammonia remover]
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5.0

and so I continue the trial and error...

Added PH buffer and Ammonia remover and four hours later...
PH: 8.4
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0

Looks like a great start. Someday I'll have a saltwater tank - but not this year. I just vicariously enjoy others projects, like yours. Thanks for posting.

Found a 125 gal tank today and will be getting that on Friday. Will be taking it nice and slow to get it exactly were I want it. Reef tank with black sand.

Next is good lighting..that just made my wallet shiver
Shocked

Coral so far in mind: Red chili cactus coral, pulsing xenia and purple tipped anemone
