Re: baby platies
Luckily it is a platty.. they are super easy to care for... can even take crushed flake food when there born... If you really want to do something for him, you can raise baby brine shrimp, otherwise frozen works too.
really not much else to do, as long as they are happy in there tank and not being threatened... cause they would make a tastey snack to allot of fish. Good luck, and keep us updated

You don't need to take the fry out....to do water changes
What kind of filtration do you have in the tank?

Re: baby platies
maybe switch to a sponge filter, but make sure it is established first... if you dont have one add a sponge to the intake on the HOB filter.... this will prevent babies from being sucked up in the intake.
Sidekickin said dont worry about taking the fish out.... actually dont move them at all, they are super fragile at this stage and you can easily break frail bones etc. just leave them and watch them grow... good luck.
