dancing festae
so i did a huge shift of fish tonight, and a big water change on my 125. got it down to 70 degrees over the last week, and plugged in my heater tonight. came back in the room about 2 hours later and my pair of festae were chasing the other fish away and dancing with each other. have been watching it for about a hour now. wish i could take more pics but the camera batteries went dead.... what timing...

AWESOME! finally, I know youve been waitin awhile for this!! If they spawn, and have a bunch of eggs, you prepared to move all the other tank mates out right? They will kill everyone in the tank if not??? itleast thats what I have been told.

Re: dancing festae
well i am not worrying about moving fish right now. thats why i did the big shift of fish last night. i got all my umbees out of that tank. the pair is acting normal this morning. they have definetly been doing some lip locking. they both have pretty messed up lips at the moment. and the female is still showing off her color. so i assume my male did just fine.
the female dosnt seem as concerned with the other fish now as she was last night. maybe im getting a little premature excitement going on. ahhh more waiting.

Re: dancing festae
Well if she is still colored up they could just be waitin for temp, or other water parameters are perfect.... maybe try another small 20% water change with colder water.
