*lol* Naw, I laughed quite a bit.
To be fair, I try to figure out where everyone is from, not just Asians. I'll see a surname and try to place if it's germanic, hungarian, ect.

ahhhhahahah XDD It isn't awkward at all until he starts talking sllllooowwwwww like you can't possibly be born in America cause were America!! and not the melting pot that America actually is. Her reaction? Totally epic.
on the other hand my sister tried to do a lineage-background project thing to see what countries you are from. Might as well have randomly pointed to any country in Europe and it's probably in our family. We need a land called Mutt-land where all us muddied background people can say we're from. And if you include the extended family you can add in every continent except maybe the north pole. Haven't seen any eskimo's the family(not to say there isn't! I don't see or even know of what feels like 1/2 my relatives)

Re: Laugh of the day-Korean
My mother always told me that her parents immigrated from Lithuania when she was young and that her heritage was fully Lithuanian. I did the background thingy and ran the gamut of checking out the lineage. Apparently she was right...they did immigrate from Lithuania but seems my grandfather was born in Poland. So I guess some of my heritage has to include things like "A Pollack walked in to a pizza place and ordered a pizza. The pizza man asked him, "Should I cut it into six pieces or eight?" And the Pollack answered, "Cut it into six; I couldn't eat eight.""
