CL can be a PITA

Yeah. Like effing today. Was supposed to trade my albino Bristlenose pleco and loach for congo tetras. Punk female dog no shows. Called and texted many times. After texting to him/her karma will get you. When you really need or want something and some one does the same thing you did to me.  Then she/he text  I was at hospital.

It's craigslist, people... what do you expect? =P That's why we have forums like this, to weed out through all the flakes. lol.

But seriously, take it with a grain of salt. Never expect someone to go through with the plants, until you've met up with them in person. Hahaha...

Man. Most of the ppl I met on Craigslist are now members here like denizaari, freddieb, and NYK. Then they also brought ppl they met on craigslist here to fishbox. Its like hit and miss. Sometimes you get cornflakes and sometimes you get real people.

Yeah this guy set a time and place but wont confirm  if I drive all the way there and he's not there it would suck and I don't have a number

i had a good experience today got a large male bristle nose pleco for my female bristle nose for.... freeeeeeee traded him for a little plant hes a cutie!

Lots of flakes out there but at the same time have met a ton of nice people who have no clue about us here on the fishbox. I tell everyone I meet about it, are you guys doing the same?

Yep I told someone today!

I have been fortunate with my CL dealings. Have dealt with nice folks and have gotten very good deals on 55g, 75g, and now a 90g show tank that all came with stands and other items.   The times I didn't hear back from someone, I just assumed that the item was already sold.

I'm looking forward to getting the 90g show tank set up, it's going to be perfect for my big angels! Now, I just need to figure out how to rehome their gorgeous babies...

I run into enough flakes on here.  Folks contact me about buying, I take a good amount of time to respond in detail, and I never get a response back.   

I shudder to think how bad it is on craigslist...

That's just ppl not interested in your item or sold item already. CL flakes are when ppl arrange to meet to do transaction and one never shows up. That's cornflakes I mean CL flakes.

While I do understand the distinction, they're both flakes and they both waste your time.
