The Ultimate Native Tank?
This guy writes some intresting things about keeping native species:

One thing that caught my eye was the idea of a freshwater deep sand bed. Anybody have any input on this?

Nice find! No input on the sand bed yet, other than it sound like an interesting experiment. I enjoyed the bits about starting a tank with mulm and the heavy feeding. Good read!

Yeah, I've been interested in the possibility of a darter tank, seeing at how unique both the behavior and coloring of some of the darters can be, and stumbled across this article.
