Did all the regular bases check out? (water params, aggression...) Can you share the info?

Usually any strange behavior and I break out the test kit first. Then I usually find I was due for a water change.

Three Oscars in a 60g will be a messy combo. Lots of water changes. Dont envy you.

have you checked that your heater is not shorting out? 3 oscars in that tank is quite a bioload to handle.

Good point. I just had a heater issue this week, should have thought of it myself.

Had a tank once, all the fish freaked out every 15-20 minutes. Everytime the heater cycled they were getting a jolt.

PH: 7.8
Ammonia: 0 ppm
Nitrite 0 ppm
Nitrate 5 ppm
Temp: 81 degrees

Dont know hardness as I have not gotten those test kits yet. I change 20 gal every 4 days. Water is usually pretty clean. Got the 3 of them thinking as soon as I discovered a pair I would ditch the 3rd... 2yrs later no fry yet  Head Wall

could it be an external parasite and he's twitching because he's itchy?

Eh... I think they are breeding. They have the pleco and the albino wedged on one side of the tank. The two tigers are now lip locking, vibrating against each other and make a nice flat rock VERY clean.
