PokeSephiroth's 15 Gallon Column Tank (Finished Setup)
Got this tank for free from a friend... said he used it for a saltwater tank, and realized it was waaaaaaaaaaay too small, so he kept it in storage for the longest time, and decided to give it to me... Basically looks like brand new! I might have to change the filter, because it's one of those aqueon HoB filters that comes bundled with the tank. But I s'pose if it's just going to be a shrimp tank.... maybe that will suffice for now. *shrug*
I put in one of my madrona wood pieces in it, and it fits like a glove, like it was MEANT for it. I plan on making this a shrimp tank.
Tank Dimensions are 13x13x24

you guys should have a poll showdown on here. Both of you setup your shrimp tanks, then like the POTM submit pics to a 3rd party who will make the thread then let everyone vote on it!

Lamental Jester, Challenge Accepted.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
One more thing, should we have some kind of rule or guideline as to when we should have the tanks finished by?
Addicted2CAs, that sounds like fun. I wonder... who should play the 3rd party poster/Referee..........?

Re: PokeSephiroth's 15 Gallon Column Tank (Finished Setup)
Lamental Jester, ah yes, Madrona it is. Although, I was talking more about hardscape-wise. =P I s'pose we should refrain from posting pictures, so as to not have "similar-looking" setups.
BillHN, LJ here is using Manzanita Wood, methinks (yes?) . . . Cory from Aquarium Co-Op has a BUNCH of Manzanita Wood at REALLY great prices! Definitely worth the visit, because he's the ONLY one that sells Manzanita Wood in a store. A lot of people end up ordering online because it's not as readily available in stores. So yeah... definitely check his shop if you haven't already.

Haha, Poke and I should just keep building up the hype, then when the end of the month comes, our tanks just have those ceramic fish ornaments you get at the big box stores!

Pokemon is a couple decades too late for me
I did find it amusing that it blocked all the images both you and LJ have been posting when I tried to block that image... had to step back to specifically THAT one, instead of the whole site. NERDS!
Toothbrush, man. You're on your own with the spot algae though...

Re: PokeSephiroth's 15 Gallon Column Tank (Finished Setup)
pbmax, no thanks. I would definitely just go with the natural look, than anything else. Hahaha... when I start decorating my tanks like that, would only be if I were hired to set up a tank at a video game convention or something. Hah.

Re: PokeSephiroth's 15 Gallon Column Tank (Finished Setup)
Soil is all ready and mineralized. Added it into the 15 gallon, and is capped. . . . but still don't have plants to put in it. Oh, I sure do hope that the auction tomorrow will reap me some good rewards.

I bet a $5 filing cabinet would be a perfect stand for that. I use a black one for my 20 tall. Cheap, sturdy, and you get some storage space.

Re: PokeSephiroth's 15 Gallon Column Tank (Finished Setup)
Got a stand at Goodwill in Silverdale, and it fits PERFECTLY for my tank. It also has two drawers which are adequately sized for storing any aquarium stuffs, fish food food, and whatnot.
Re: PokeSephiroth's 15 Gallon Column Tank (Finished Setup)
I think I'm done. Tank is planted, and all I can do now is wait for the plants to grow and "fill-in" so to speak. I'm just about done dealing with Riccia Fluitans. That stuff is a MESS. lol. Just gotta do some water changes here and there, then fill'er up with some shrimp . . . maaaaybe some neon tetras. Doubtful though. But we'll see. Battle strategy? Pffft... please. ;-)
But, before you start looking at the photos, I would suggest playing this in the background first.

Already added some MTS, harvested some of them from my 10, 36, and 55 gallon tanks. Hahaha XD... added some Albino Bristlenose Plecos and Red Cherry Shrimp in there as well.
Re: PokeSephiroth's 15 Gallon Column Tank (Finished Setup)
I hate to rain on your parade but electricity and water do not mix.
Pikachu has to go! You need more water type Pokémon in there, like a Squirtle!

DMD123, hahahaha!! Look at you! Kudos for knowing pokemon knowledge! I did have a squirtle toy, unfortunately it had some electronics inside it, so I opted for Pikachu.
I wish I had a goldeen or seaking in there, unfortunately I don't have them... so I had to make do with what I had. Imagine putting a fire-type pokemon in there! LOL
