Re: Staurogyne Repens
I think I have some of this, I'll take a closeup photo and post it here for others to confirm. I had tried attaching to wood, but it didn't want to take. Since I've put it in my substrate it seems to be growing very well.

I'm not 100% sure this is actually it. I got it at Denny's in Kirkland and the name sure sounds familiar. Here are a couple pics. If it's "on topic" I'll discuss it more

Interesting LJ, look how they use the plant as a foreground & mid ground plant. Looks neat though!!

Yeah that's a cool look with the two different distinct levels.
Any other info about this plant? Does it grow alright without CO2? I am interested in this as well, and will be awaiting your reply, anderson!

I'm not 100% sure but it could be. I have it in my tank althought funny story is my "hill" in my tank has been sliding down and thus covered most of this great foreground plant so it's trying to come back but doesn't look good right now.
Here are a few pictures of it when I planted it...take a look and compare.

I have about 2.5 weeks experience with this plant. It's been sitting in its topfin tissue culture package since I bought it at petsmart 2.5 weeks ago I swear I'll plant it tomorrow... for real. Still have no idea where to put it...

Re: Staurogyne Repens
Basically I tried to get mine to attach to the wood but it just refused to. I thought I had read, when I go it, that it shouldn't be planted in the substrate. That being said after I got sick of it not attaching to the log, I put it into the mineralized soil and it has started taking off. I remember reading it can spread out, but you have to keep it well trimmed so it will stay low and bushy. I'm no expert and I have a terrible memory. If anyone knows more or something to the contrary please let me know.

We sell that stuff at Aquarium Co-Op, I have some growing well in my 2.5 gallon tank, haven't had to dose anything, and has med-light... hmm. Is'pose it would grow will in a dirted tank, that's for sure.

Re: Staurogyne Repens
I still grow a small amount of this. It grows well for me under varied lighting conditions. It does grow upward and benefits from routine cuttings to stay compact.

Perfect, that means you can participate in the next Plant Swap if you head up there on Saturday.
