Plant ID Help!

So, I've had this plant for the longest time now, I remember buying a small bundle of this thing from Farmland in Silverdale, Wa.... I don't think they have it labelled correctly because it says that it was Elodea... Elodea what though? Canadensis? What?

I know for a fact that it's not Anacharis or Egeria Densa (or are they both the same for the same plant? I'm so confused... anyway, that's besides the point)

I was wondering if anyone could help me ID this particular plant, and know if it's legal to have, here in Washington... Any help would be great! Thanks!

Ohhhh blah... :(I should find a way to sue Farmland for selling this stuff. lol!!

Oddly enough, I just called them and asked what specific type of elodea it was, and the first thing the person said was "It's the one that's not illegal."

....because THAT helps. And then the person said that it might be Elodea Canadensis... which, I thought WAS illegal here in Washington? I'm so confused

From what I have read its legal to own, just illegal to SELL/ distribute. Not exactly sure where I read that...
