Modified 6.6g Light Hood
My wife and I are setting up a 6.6g bookshelf tank to double as a night light in our soon to be first born's room. First of all, we got the kit at the goodwill for $12 which was awesome. Here are some pics of what I've rigged up in the light hood. The hood came with a grow bulb in it, but it has that typical pinkish glow. I swiped a LED string out of a hood I got in a CL deal and hot glued them into the 6.6g hood, 15 LEDs total. Then I ordered a blue cold cathode set off eBay, 2 6" bulbs, for about $7 and rigged that up too. Should look pretty good when it's all done.
