Feisty little Festae!!

She (I'm hoping it's a she) is a feisty little thing. But I have a feeling she is going to be a beautiful adult! She is pretty pale in this picture. Every time I try to catch her colored up she sees me and thinks its food time! Shes about 2.5" right now. If you can't tell I'm really excited! lol

I would guess that it is a male. Dorsal is not black (but still a bit early to tell this way), and it has a nice amount of blue spangling in the dorsal, anal and tail fin. All traits of a male. Sorry. You should be able to tell for sure in another 2" or so, so probably by the end of Summer. (they grow painfully slow)

Well poo, either way it is going to be amazing looking! Haha it might end up being seperated though. It's already pretty aggressive. It's pretty impressive when it is all colored up though!

Love the Festae, I keep promising myself to get one....and i just scored a 125 acrylic on craigs list. Guess i have to get in touch with Jeff Rapps again.

This is the big Ecuadorian male. My smaller Ec male looks nothing like this guy, and my Peruvian male looks even more different. They are an awesome looking species.

Oh wow! He's cool!! I am so impatient! I want them to be big already. The Red devils we got from you are starting to have a little color and the Zonatus are getting speckled bellies!! Everyone is still alive and well btw!

This is my first one but it's pretty cool! Already has lots of personality! Our house is starting to look like an aquarium. We are trying to find a big tank to go in the downstairs now. It's addicting!

He is a good looking fish! Where did you get him from?

I picked him up from Kevin at A Place For Pets in Burien. He always has good stuff!
