I have a 5.5 gallon planted tank which houses 4 pygmy loaches (I forget their name), an otto, and a peacock gudgeon. All 6 of them tend to school together but prefer the back corner of the tank. I would like some different ideas for a small group of other schooling fish that would look interesting and stay small. The only 2 fish I know of that might work are the celestial pearl danio and Boraras brigittae. Anyone have any other ideas?

I love killies, but I don't have a top on the tank, so I'd probably better stick to something that isn't going to jump out. That's a good idea for my 29G if I can find bigger ones though.

My favorite schooling fish is still the harlequin rasbora. They are large, but Clark's has many size varieties with the same look, all the way down to about 1/2 inch. They have a ton of micro fish in general.

To Fyurae: I do like the harlequin rasboras. My 29G has about 10 of them.

To flo77: I REALLY want celestial pearl danios, but they were $12 a piece at my LFS last time I checked.

My three favorite I've found so far are: CPD, Brigittae Rasbora, and the Erythromicrons. Now I need to find and price them to see which is the better deal.

I was wrong about the CPDs. They were 8.99, but that was still more than I was willing to spend. I ended up getting 3 Emerald Dwarf Rasboras and a Clown Killi.
