You could set it up with alot of rockwork and make it a mix dwarf mbuna tank, similiar what I did with that 80XT I have. You seen how the mbuna's/peacocks I have in that tank they use all levels of it, still the majority of use is mid to lower, but there is still alot of fish that swim in the upper levels. One fish that I really like and would be a great single species showcase fish is the Pseudotropheus polit. Or you can do your Snow white socolofi and Yellow labs. Another option is the Cynotilapia afra- Minos Reef Mozambique that you can buy on RSC.

Ive only had angel fish as a kid and all that ive read and talked to people about them have said they have alot of diseases and are similar in care as discus. Im not a big fan of mixing a bunch of different type of fish from different places even if I have that 55 hex with S/C american fish in it. You already have 3 socolofi's and rusties why not go to bobby's and get a few more of his soco's I only picked up 2 females from him and he had about 6 more soco's left. He also has quite a few yellow labs for $2 to $3ea.

angels would go great in there.... they love the tall tanks.... and dont need the 4 foot length.... discus may be a good idea too if the wife likes thoughs....

Breeding angels is so easy, and really fun. too. let us know what you decide.

I've got that tank. In mine is 1 adult angel. He's probably 6" body size. Started off with 3 small baby angels a couple of years ago.....and 1 died young (I think picked on by the other 2). As the other 2 grew I was hoping for a pair but they began to fight. I ended up separating them (1 each in their own tall tank as a center piece fish). As far as tank mates I ended up with congo tetras in one tank and diamond tetras in the other (both angels are mean and have eaten fish I couldn't possibly imagine fitting in their mouths...LOL One tank also has bolivian rams and the other has blue rams. So IMO unless you have a pair the tank isn't long enough for the adult angels to establish their territories comfortably!

I think a PLANTED tank with: angels, blue rams and a few others, would look great!

Keep us updated with what you go with.

lamprologus ocellatus, or speciosus, and some brevis, 1 small pleco, and a few dither fish of your choosing. I have black mollys, the shellies eat the baby mollies too, good suppliment to shellie diet.
