The new guys

Went into petsmart to return a filter came out with these two!

Female had literally JUST dropped eggs, and all the other midas were eating them, and holy lord, she was BEATING the others SHITLESS. They were all torn up. Quickly found the male and SHAZZAM. Breedin pair of midas!

They look like brother and sister to me... thats just wrong.

shoot really? Ill get better pics of them tonight. But they are in one of our cycled tanks at 7.2 ph while I drain and cycle the 46 bowfront again.

All fish look like brother an sister lol
and lars quit lying you know your going to keep those midas in that tiny bowl
the same way you keep that ugly flower horn in that 5G bucket haha

these guys are tough as nails. I could take one out an huck it at the wall and put it back in an he swim fineee. probably. Bot they cool, trying to find a bigger tank for em already

Yeah, a pair of midas should be in itleast a 75.... they are super hardy though! So you shouldnt kill these guys... lol.... jk

Thats so crazy female is already layin eggs.... she is so small... doesnt look more than 4 months old! You will have fun with them, Midas is still in my top 3 fav. new world cichlids! They have such a great personality... they love to rearrange the tank, so dont think your stuff will stay where it is.. lol... Mine used to jump out of the water for food.... one time completly out of the tank! lol, my daughter was sooo scared he got out of the tank, and he was gonna get her! lol

Midas are way neat, just get them out of there ASAP!!!!!!

maybe thats what your doing wrong
you shouldn't acclimate new fish by throwing it at the wall lol

the girls got one black eye, shes prolly only 3 inches, 4" max. Sis read up on them when I was gone and made sure all the rock work is secure, but Im trying to find a 75-100 gallon for em right now.
