Mouthbrooding victoriae
I managed to get a couple of shots of the little ones peeking out.
I never get tired of watching this process -- it's so cool.
(Wish those scratches weren't on the breeder box.)

- last time I seen live fish peaking out of a fishes mouth it was 3-5 goldfish stuffed in a 20" Peacock basses mouth. This is really neat Betty, +1 from me, spectacular photos!
Edit: oh my goodness, you can see an eyeball through the skin in the lower jaw.... Weird ....

You can see an eyeball in both. Great photos! Its so hard for me to even see in the mouth with my own fish, and here you are taking pictures of it. Awesome. What species?

Re: Mouthbrooding victoriae
FishNAbowl, I think that skin on the lower jaw gets stretched thin with the babies in there. I can usually see little eyes and sometimes the entire bodies on some of the species I used to keep. I have a photo of an M. auratus somewhere and you can see the little striped bodies of the fry being held.
CrazedAce, that's a Pseudocrenilabrus multicolor Victoriae. The males have great color when they mature.
