Caquetaia. Collection
All the caquetaia are growing are getting some personality. The Krausi are the trouble makers. They are very territorial. The umbriferus are pretty quiet unless provoked then they inflict grievous injuries....I keep them with the Kruasi now and they get on great. The spectabile are quite mild tempered and get along well with fish large enough not to be eaten. They Myersi are a bit grouchy with neighbors but do fine with tank mates of roughly equal size.

Great quadfecta!! The spectabile are one of my favorite looking cichlids, though adult myersi are no slouches either.

Very nice Bassetman. Mine are the opposite, my Umbee dont like anyone, the Specs are very territorial especially towards the Myersi. My Myersi are very mellow, and I need to get me a couple Kraussi again. I keep the Specs with my Festae grow outs otherwise they would dominate the others.
I will be, over Winter break, doing a lot of relocating. One of the relocations will be all of my Specs, the Myersi, Festae and Stalsbergi will relocate to the 250 in the living room. So that I can move my EBJD breeding project to the 130 in my bedroom.
I will have to do a blog or something on this project. But anyway, sorry Bassetman for going off topic. Your Caquetaia group look great, very well done.

Re: Caquetaia. Collection
My kraussi are the mildest I own. He's 7" kept with much smaller 2-3" umbee. My specs, were knocked off by my lone myersi( I'd like more of them). But umbee, more specifically the mag X are the most aggressive of the four variants I have.
As always, your pictures are spectacular!
